CONSANGUINEOUS

As part of my Masters Degree at the University of Reading I chose to design a standard and deluxe album cover for the a fictional concept artist ‘Glass Jaw’. Creating a brief based around simlilar artists and researching hip-hop album cover conventions to begin ideation.

The ideation process created multiple intial options, however I fell in love with the idea of the central monkey (see no evil) being exposed to have a third eye, making his self-inflicted lack of sight an illusion.

Once the initial 12”x12” album artwork was complete I then designed and hand-made full vinyl packaging for both versions of the album cover in addition to merchandise and promotional material for the artists subsequent tour.
